If your CNA license is current, renewing does not cost anything. Below are detailed instructions to renew:

First go to Texas Nurse Aide Registry and verify your license is still active.
https://hhs.texas.gov/doing-business-hhs/licensing-credentialing-regulation/credentialing/nurse-aide-registry

**If it is not expired go to Texas Health and Human Services
https://hhs.texas.gov/doing-business-hhs/licensing-credentialing-regulation/credentialing/nurse-aide-service-education

Do all 6 modules on the above page once a year (or do them twice if you did not do any in year 1). Print the certificates at the end of each module. You will need to mail these in to the registry.

Fill out Employment verification form (your boss has to sign it).
https://hhs.texas.gov/laws-regulations/forms/5000-5999/form-5509-nar-facility-nurse-aide-employment-verification

Mail in the proof of employment and the education module certificates to the address on that form. Make copies of everything for yourself.

**If it has already expired, call the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and ask what your route of eligibility is to renew. They will provide you with instructions 512-438-2050. We do offer in-facility training (24 hours for $220).
